Summary

This article explains how to add notes to a Workshop Job using Platinum Online.

More Information

  • Select the Platinum Online Icon from your Home screen.
  • Enter your 'Online ID' and 'Password' log in details.
To check/set up your Platinum Online log in details, click here
  • Go to " Workshop Technician Activity".
  • All Jobs your system is configured to display will be listed on screen.
  • Select the Job you wish to add a note to.
  • Find the " Job Status" section.
  • Type your text and select [Submit].
Periodically your device will synchronise with your live Platinum system. At this point the notes will be added to the Job into the [Description] tab.
Existing notes are displayed above the "Change status" section. Any amendments to these notes must be made within your desktop version of Platinum.
You may also set the Job Status at this point. See this article for more information and to configure the available status codes.

Synchronising Platinum Online

Platinum Online will use your internet connection periodically to update your Workshop system. To force the system to refresh and update:

  • Go to the [Technician Activity] screen.
  • Select [Refresh].

Log Out

At the end of each day you should log out of Platinum Online.

  • Select the 3 bars () to the left of [Technician Activity].
  • Select [Logout].
