More Information

When creating unit stock, the system can automatically allocate the next available system number or you can choose on a unit by unit basis whether to assign automatically or create your own number.

Sales Units

Go to " Reports & Settings Maintenance Options System Administrator Platinum Settings" and search for 'allocate automatic stock'.

  • Set "Allocate automatic stock numbers" for Unit Sales to 'Yes'.
  • When you now create a new stock unit the system will use the next available number.

Workshop Units

Go to " Reports & Settings Maintenance Options System Administrator Platinum Settings" and search for 'allocate automatic stock'.

  • Set "Allocate automatic stock numbers" for Workshop to 'Yes'.
  • When you now create a new Workshop unit the system will use the next available number.
Units created in the Workshop should generally start with a ninety million number i.e. 9???????. This helps you to distinguish between units that are or have been stock units at any time and units that you have serviced or repaired but not sold.
