Summary

The following article explains how to create or amend a hire item status in the Booking and Hire module.

More Information

"Hire item statuses" allow you to set a hire item's current condition and its availability for use in the Booking and Hire module.

Creating a hire item status

  • Go to " Booking and Hire Maintenance Options Add or Edit Hire Item Statuses".
  • Press the [Add] button.
  • At "Hire item status:", enter a unique code for the status.

Details

  • At "Description:", enter the description of the hire item status.
  • At "Colours:", you can select "Text:" and "Background:" colours in which the hire item status will appear.

Settings

  • Move to the [Settings] tab.
  • At "Retired?:" choose whether or not hire items with this status are retired from use.
Choosing 'Yes' will prevent hire items with this status set from being used on new "Customer Bookings" or from appearing on "Hire item availability". You can learn more about retiring hire items here.

Saving the Hire Item Status

  • Press [Done] and [Accept] the changes to create the hire item status.
