The following article explains how to flag a hire item as retired.

Retiring a hire item will prevent it from appearing during Hire Item Planning and Customer Booking options e.g. if it is under repair or sold. You can learn more about flagging a status as retired here.

Retiring a hire item

Go to " Booking and Hire Maintenance Options Add or Edit Hire Items".

  • Press [Search] to list the hire items.
  • Select the hire item from the list and click [Edit].
  • Go to the [Details] tab.
  • At "Status:" set the status code to 'RET'.
You can create your own statuses to distinguish why a hire item has been retired.
  • Press [Done] and [Accept] the changes to retire the hire item.
