Summary

This article explains how to take images of your units for sale on your preferred mobile device and upload them directly to your Platinum system.

More Information

You should be able to use most mobile devices that have a data connection and a web browser. This includes most of the common smartphones and tablets.

Selecting a Unit

Log into your Platinum Online account as explained here.

  • From the "Sidebar" options, select " Unit Sales Unit Sales Media".
  • Find the unit you require by entering the "Unit Stock Number", "Reg Number" or part of the unit make/model.
  • Select the correct unit from the results list.
  • Click the [Add Media] Button.
If the unit you want is not found, make sure you have the right unit location selected. To check this, go back to the " Home" page and below "Unit location", tap the location and then select the correct one or choose 'All Locations'.

Take the Photo

  • This will allow you to open the built-in camera app on your mobile device. This is where the instructions differ for the different types of mobile device.

Choose Existing

  • This will allow you to use the stored images on your device. This is where the instructions differ for the different types of device.
    • Refer to the manual for your device for further details on the operations of this.

Adding More Images

  • Adding the first image allows you to add further images, creating a list which can then be uploaded all in one go.
  • Iphones that have the function to take RAW images will need to use another file type eg: jpeg
Depending on the camera on your device, these images can be quite large. It is therefore important that you either have enough data on your plan to accommodate this or you are connected to WiFi. It would also be beneficial to change your camera's resolution to a lower setting, for example around 2MP.
