Summary

Once a task has been created in Personnel Planning it is possible to go back in and view/edit/copy/delete etc. The following article explains in detail how this is achieved.

More Information

Go to " Personnel Planning Tasks Outstanding".

  • At the "Employee" field, enter the employee whose task you wish to view.
    • Enter their Employee Code (usually their initials) or search for them by pressing <Ctrl+F1> and entering their name then clicking [Search].
  • This now lists all current tasks for the employee. Note: If no tasks exist, a new task properties screen will pop up by default.

Viewing and Amending a Task

  • To view any of the tasks in the list, select the relevant one and press <Enter> or <F5>.
  • From here you may, if you wish, alter details about the task

Deleting a Task

  • Find the task to remove and press <F10> or click [Remove].

Viewing a Deleted Task

You may view a deleted task from " Personnel Planning Tasks Outstanding".

  • Select the "Employee" then click [Advanced].
  • Enter any specific ranges e.g. a customer "Account" or a range of dates.
  • In the "Task Status Filter" section at the bottom of the screen click "Filter Mode" and select 'Include'.
  • Ensure that the code 'DEL' appears in the "Status Code" field.
  • Click [Search] to display all deleted tasks matching the range.
  • If you need to resurrect the task you can change the "Status" back to 'ACT' - Active Task.

Copying/Transferring a Task

  • To copy an existing task to another user, find the relevant task and press <Shift+F7>.
    • In the "Copy To" field, enter the employee to whom you wish to copy the task and press <Enter> or click [Copy].
  • To copy the task to all employees, find the relevant task and press <Shift+F7>, then press <F5>.
There is a setting on the [Personnel Planning] tab of user records to define whether they "Recieve Messages" that are broadcast to all. If you have technicians or general employee codes for admin purposes you may not need them to receive such messages if they do not ever actually log in to Platinum.
  • To transfer a task to another employee, move to the relevant task and press <F7>.
  • In the "Transfer To" field, enter the employees initials for whom you want to transfer the task to and press <Enter> or click [Transfer].
