Summary
Available stock is the quantity of a stock item available to be sold, taking into account taking into account any current demands to supply the item to customers. Available stock is most useful in scenarios where one needs to know the quantity of a stock item that is available to be sold.
More Information
You will see available stock displayed in all areas of Platinum where you are adding a stock item for sale, e.g. when adding an item to a Workshop Jobcard, to a counter sale etc.
The standard calculation being applied is:
Current Stock Quantity - Quantity on Sales Order |
Counter Invoicing
The available stock value displayed in both Invoicing and Customer Orders and Point of Sale uses the above formula but also takes into account any items that have been left on screen in Invoicing and Customer Orders.
- To view these items go to " Stock Control Invoicing & Customer Orders".
- At "Customer" press <F4> - Account Summary.

Checking Available Stock
Stock Enquiries can be used to view outstanding orders.
